Being the Knowledge partners DPS Nashik, played a vital role in the felicitation of the Karmayogini Awardees hosted by Deshdoot. DPS Gifted a Book "Soul Song" under the penmanship of DPS students to each awardee. Mast. Dhroov Kshatriya and Ms. Ananya Shukla shared their experience of emerging into young Budding writers. They were very happy to share their feelings in front of a huge crowd and indeed it was a big opportunity for the students to speak on such an amazing platform. Field Visit to Air Force Station, Borgad On 26th September 2018, the students of Pre-Nursery, Nursery and Prep of Delhi Public School, Nashik were taken for a field visit to an Air Force Station in Borgad. The objective of this activity was to give the kids an opportunity to explore the different venues at the Airforce Station. It was also organised to make them understand that the Airforce aims to fly, fight and win in Air, Space and Cyberspace. It was explained to the children that the Airforce has aeroplanes to protect the nation. The field visit to the Air Force Station, Borgad motivated the students to explore the venue and learn new things. Safety measures and precautions were explained to the students using placards and signboards and questions put forth the same. The students progressively created explanations and answers for each question which was asked to them. Refreshments were served and projection images of the missiles were shown on the LCD to the students. Quiz time at DPS “A person without the knowledge of their past history, origin and culture is like a tree without roots”. To enroot this power of knowledge into students of Grade 2 of Delhi Public School Nashik, were inspired to participate in a General Knowledge Quiz based on ‘National Symbols and National Leaders’. All the sections of Grade 2 students participated with great enthusiasm in this quiz. To give fair chance to each student and for active participation set of questions were framed with 2 rounds. Students were divided into five teams and questions were based on “Identify the famous National leaders?” by showing them photos of famous legendary national leaders like Shri. Atal Bihari Vajpayee, APJ Abdul Kalam, Indira Gandhi, Bhagat Singh etc. This followed by the answers and detailed description about them. Students showed eagerness and excitement to reply to the questions based on national symbols which multiplied their knowledge. It was brilliant opportunity for students to share their knowledge with their fellow students which helped them to showcase their inner talent and pursue knowledge about great personalities. Overall the quiz complied with the message of national pride and also when you know better you do better.
Colors are indeed the shades of nature…..The ‘Red Day’ celebration was conducted for Pre Nursery students of Delhi Public School Nashik and ‘The Little’ Campus. It was a wonderful learning activity which helped the tiny tots to understand the concept of Primary Colors. Red colour also signifies Love and Compassion. To mark this day very special, students came dressed up in red clothes & actively participated in “Show and Tell “activity. Each of them got an opportunity to speak about their favorite red object. The little ones spent a spectacular fun filled day.
Brethren without Boundaries’ DPS, Nashik expanding horizons, joining hands with Sri Lanka. Implication of , Swami Vivekananda’s historic speech , “ I am proud to belong to a religion which has taught the world both tolerance and universal acceptance” was observed at the campus of Delhi Public School Nashik on the account of ‘World Tourism Day’. DPS, Nashik has taken steps towards the accomplishment of Broad Vision instilling in the community ‘Shake hands , without clenched fist’. World Tourism Day celebrated on 27 September around the world , is a unique opportunity to raise awareness on tourism’s actual and potential contribution to sustainable development. The platform of DPS , Nashik spread the message of’ Brethren without Boundaries’ as the students of grade II, III & IV showcased the unique tradition , celebration of occasions, language and attire through their performances in ‘ Fancy Dress Competition’. The students donned themselves in attire representing themselves as denizens of Sri Lanka and inhabitants of the different zones of India. Vibrancy of the enactments by the students enhanced with vivid hue and flamboyance of the expressions had kept the audience awestruck . Students came forward and introduced themselves in the respective regional language along with the information of culture and relevant backdrop. The ramp walk showcased confidence and the open mindsets and arms of the young minds to embrace global ethnicity. The event culminated with a profound thought , “The world is our root; branches are the nations; and leaves are the people. Let us appreciate the fact that we all have originated from one place and we all belong to one family. Hence, the whole world is one family , Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam.”
The first day of the school in a tot’s life is very precious for the parents and teachers. To celebrate the first beautiful 100 days of school Delhi Public School Nashik holds a mega event for the cute bundle of joys each year. The 100 days of Pre nursery is a special opportunity to reflect upon and celebrate major milestones representing progress, growth and achievement of the tiny tots. The little ones marked this special day with beautiful presentations starting with seven creations of God, Life cycle of a Butterfly and Flowers of 12 different Countries. Master and Miss DPS from each class of Pre Nursery were announced and these tiny tots very confidently presented themselves against the audience on the stage. Director Mr. Siddharth Rajgarhia, Principal Dr. Pushpy Dutt and the Chief Guest Ms. Varsha Pichaya a prominent practicing lawyer of the city were amazed and thrilled to see their performances. It was a day full of fun and frolic for the tots, their parents and teachers.
