Students of Grade 2 spent an afternoon making beautiful pencil stands using waste material. The students were asked to bring old CD and few sheets of a newspaper. The hole of an old CD was first covered using silver paper. Then, the newspaper sheets were rolled on a broom stick. These rolls were stuck on the CD in a vertical style. Once the entire CD was covered in a circular form, they then painted it in bright paints and made it attractive using decorative material. It was an enjoyable activity. The children learnt to make a unique pencil holder.
Dipsites of Grade 2 had fun making wall clocks. The concept of TIME was taught and explained to them through this activity.
